The holidays are over and it's time to put that Christmas tree out on the curb.
The city's curbside collection and recycling program started Wednesday.
Before putting trees outside, residents are reminded to take all the ornaments off, and to not put the tree in a plastic bag.
Sanitation crews turn the trees into mulch, which is spread on parks and fields across the city.
You can also pick up mulch for your garden by stopping by a chipping site starting next Wednesday.
Tree recycling runs through January 12.
