July was met with what was said to be the largest lockout of workers in U.S. history. After nearly a month of negotiations, Local 1-2 of the Utility Workers Union of America voted in favor of accepting a four-year deal that prevents Con Ed from changing the pension plans of union members hired before 2012 in future agreements.
