Philadelphia is opening up its marathon to those disappointed when the New York City event was cancelled due to last week's storm.
Organizers are holding a lottery to allow 3,000 runners to join their already sold out November 18 race.
Lottery entries will be accepted through 5 p.m. Thursday.
Competitors will be chosen at random by a computer.
