Funeral arrangements have been set for the Staten Island teacher found stabbed to death in her home this past week.
A wake will be held Monday for Simeonette Mapes, 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m at the Matthew Funeral Home in Willowbrook.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday at Our Lady of Pity Roman Catholic Church in Bulls Head.
Police say they're investigating the incident, which happened on Thursday, as a botched home invasion.
The house was ransacked, but police are not sure if anything was stolen.
According to investigators, her husband was coming home from work when he found her in the entryway with several stab wounds in the back.
The Department of Education says Mapes taught social studies at the School for Classics High School in Brooklyn since 2009.
