Mayor Michael Bloomberg will sign into law Intro 29A, Council Member Gale A. Brewer’s open data bill. This bill, which has been many years in the making, represents the first time in the country that a municipality has written an open data policy into law that requires more than “reasonable efforts” by city agencies.
