The New York Mets are stepping up to bat to help save a piece of city history.
The team plans to donate $5 from every ticket sold online for this Friday's game to People for the Pavilion.
The organization is working to preserve the crumbling New York State Pavilion in Queens.
It was built in 1964 for the World's Fair.
It was recently cleaned up for a rare public viewing, but the Parks Department says a complete restoration would cost up to $72 million.
Anyone who buys a ticket through the special online offer will also get a limited edition t-shirt showing the pavilion and towers in Mets blue and orange.
To buy tickets and donate to the cause, go online to mets.com/pavilion.
