Colombia topped Greece in the first World Cup match of the day.
Colombia took an early lead in its first World Cup appearance in 16 years, scoring in just the 5th minute.
The team scored again on a corner kick in the 58th minute before putting it away with a late-goal to make it 3-0.
New Yorkers who gathered in a Queens bar to watch the game and show their Colombian pride say enjoying the game with fellow fans is half the fun.
"Most of the Colombians live in Queens so you want to get a better vibe. I live in the city and I came out here for the better crowd.//I just love the atmosphere I mean this is Colombians, its all Colombians the majority, so I just enjoy the atmosphere."
In other action today, Uruguay is facing Costa Rica and England squares off against Italy.
Later tonight, Ivory Coast will face Japan.
The U.S. will play its first World Cup game Monday against Ghana.
