The New York Yankees may have found someone to replace former second baseman Robinson Cano.
Sources tell the Associated Press that longtime Baltimore Oriole Brian Roberts has agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal with the Bombers.
Roberts, 36, had spent his entire 13-year major league career with Baltimore, but has not played a full season since 2009 because of injuries.
Roberts could give the Yankees an option at second base after they lost Cano to Seattle.
Cano recently signed a 10-year, $240 million contract with the Mariners.
