The Brooklyn Nets will honor their head coach tonight.
The team will retire Jason Kidd's number five jersey at Barclays Center in a ceremony before their preseason game with Miami.
The 10-time All-Star spent six and a half seasons with the Nets when they played in New Jersey, leading the team to its only two appearances in the NBA finals.
Kidd is the Nets' all-time leader in assists, steals, three pointers, and triple doubles.
He was named Nets head coach in June after retiring as a player.
Kidd is the sixth player in franchise history to have his number retired by the Nets.
