Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is getting another bump as he looks to hold onto the team's leading position.
Sanchez is getting the start in Saturday's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He also started last week's preseason opener in Detroit, throwing a touchdown and an interception.
The decision came a day after rookie Geno Smith had a practice session coach Rex Ryan described as "brutal."
Smith is also dealing with an ankle sprain from last week's game.
Coach Ryan insists Sanchez getting the start this week isn't necessarily an indication of which quarterback will start in the regular season.
