A former Giants offensive lineman is under arrest for allegedly hitting his wife and pushing her out of a moving car.

Police say Luke Petitgout struck his wife with her pocketbook Friday, then tossed her onto a street in the city.

He turned himself in to a Manhattan police stationhouse Tuesday.

He is awaiting arraignment on an assault charge.

Petitgout was the Giants' first-round draft choice in 1999 and played eight seasons for them.

After his stint with the Giants, he played one season in Tampa before being released.
