Jeter Back On Yankees' Disabled List

  • Text size: + -

On the same day Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez received word that he is facing a possible suspension through 2015, the Bronx Bombers announced on Twitter that their team captain, Derek Jeter, is back on the disabled list due to a strained right calf.

The 39-year-old shortstop only played five games this year, after recovering from breaking his ankle during the postseason last year.

He then injured his right quad muscle, forcing him into rehab for several more weeks.

He played another four games between July 28 and August 2, before he was pulled from the lineup.
