Yankees officials announced today that team captain Derek Jeter is back on the disabled list, days after he missed the All-Star Game due to a strained right quad.

The team has placed Jeter on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 12.

The 39-year-old shortstop hurt himself the day before, during his first game of the season with the Yankees.

Jeter missed the first part of the season while rehabilitating the ankle he broke during Game 1 of the American League Championship Series last year. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
