The New York Mets will have their brooms out in Yankee Stadium tonight as they look to sweep the Subway Series after pounding the Yankees in the Bronx.

Yankees starter David Phelps gave up five runs right off the bat and was pulled after just one third of an inning.

Struggling Mets first baseman Ike Davis capped the inning with a bases loaded two-run single.

The Mets would jump out to an 8-0 lead before the Yankees ever got on the board.

The Amazin's went on to win 9-4.

This is their fourth straight win, and the fourth straight loss for the Yankees.

Dillon Gee gets the ball for the Mets against Vidal Nuno.

The Mets are without starting shortstop Ruben Tejada.

He strained his right quadricep in the ninth inning last night and was placed on the 15-day disabled list today.

Omar Quintanilla was recalled from the minors to take his place. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
