The New York Rangers trail 3-0 in their Eastern Conference Semifinal series after a 2-1 loss to the Boston Bruins at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night.

Daniel Paille's goal with 3:31 remaining in the third period broke a 1-1 tie, and goaltender Tuukka Rask made the lead stand up for Boston.

The Rangers' only goal was scored by Taylor Pyatt and gave them a 1-0 lead early in the second period.

Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist did not allow a goal until early in the third period, when he was beaten by a shot from the point by Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk that tied the game at 1.

Lundqvist made 34 saves in Game 3, while Rask made 24.

The Rangers will attempt to keep their season alive Thursday night when they host the Bruins in Game 4. That game starts at 7 p.m. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
