The dream of professional soccer in Queens is advancing, as Major League Soccer has an updated plan to bring a stadium to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
According to sources, league officials will unveil their proposal for a 25,000-seat venue as soon as a month from now.
A plan does not make it official, as the league still has to go through approval by the city land use and community boards.
Developers say the project would bring hundreds of jobs to Queens.
Their goal, according to sources, is to open for games in 2016.
