For the first time in 28 year, a Knick has won the NBA scoring title.

Carmelo Anthony sat out the team's finale against Atlanta and finished the season with an average of 28.7 points per game.

Kevin Durant would have needed to score 70 points in the Thunder's finale against the Bucks to overtake Anthony, but he decided to sit out as well, finishing slightly behind Anthony with 28.1 points per game.

Durant had taken the title the past three seasons.

This is the first time Anthony has been the league's top scorer in his decade-long pro career.

Newly crowned Hall of Famer Bernard King won the scoring title as a Knick during the 1984-85 season. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
