With their playoff hopes washed away, the Jets will make a change at quarterback Sunday.
Mark Sanchez will be benched as Jets starter for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
It follows his performance Monday night in Tennessee, where he turned the ball over five times, including four interceptions.
Sanchez was benched during a game two weeks ago against the Cardinals but kept his starting job.
In that Cardinals game, Greg McElroy came off the bench to rally the Jets to a win.
Jets coach Rex Ryan named McElroy the starter for this Sunday, ahead of Tim Tebow.
