Raul Ibanez's two home runs led the New York Yankees to a 3-2 win in Game 3 of the American League Division Series Wednesday night, giving the Bombers a 2-1 series lead over the Baltimore Orioles.

With the Yankees trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Ibanez pinch hit for Alex Rodriguez and hit a solo home run off Orioles closer Jim Johnson to tie the game at 2.

In his next at-bat, Ibanez led off the 12th inning with a game-winning home run off Orioles reliever Brian Matusz.

The Yankees got a strong start from Hiroki Kuroda, who allowed just two runs on five hits over 8.1 innings. He allowed solo home runs to Ryan Flaherty in the third inning and Manny Machado in the fifth inning.

The Yankees and Orioles will play Game 4 Thursday night. Phil Hughes is scheduled to start for the Yankees.
