The Yankees acquired 10-time All Star Ichiro Suzuki from the Seattle Mariners Monday.
Ichiro was acquired for two relief pitchers before Monday's Yankees-Mariners game.
The 38-year-old was greeted by applause and bowed to the crowd in Seattle, where he played his entire American career prior to Monday night.
He singled during his first at-bat in a Yankee uniform.
The right fielder is a career .322 hitter.
