Giants Fans Hit The Town Loud And Proud

Sunday night's Super Bowl game between the Giants and Patriots kept fans on the edge of their seats throughout the night. NY1's Michael Herzenberg filed the following report.From the streets to the saloons, Giants fans celebrated together. Neighborhood bar Flannery's in Chelsea drew old fans and old timers.
"My father was a Giant fan he died that year [1986]. I put the Giants hat in his coffin and they won the Super Bowl," said one Giants fan.
"I've been a giant fan from when 1958 and we used to go the Polo Grounds to watch them," said another.
The win brought some fans to tears and the game gave the audience both ups and downs. Some say they would rather be in the Big Apple for the Big Blue win than actually at the game.
"There's nothing that beats being in New York for the Giants to win the Super Bowl. This is an amazing time," said one happy fan.
A big crowd also gathered at Modell's sporting goods in Times Square where loyal G-Men enthusiasts jumped for joy. The store had championship merchandise ready to go the second the game ended.
"I knew my boys was just gonna win, win, win," said one shopper.
"It's like a dream of mine. I didn't lose faith not one time," said another.
While the partying continued throughout the night for many, some fans headed home to rest up for Tuesday's ticker tape parade.
