Silent for the better part of the weekend, the New York Mets are hoping their bats wake up in time to salvage the final game of the subway series.

The New York Yankees won their second straight game of the weekend Saturday night thanks to a dominating performance from A.J. Burnett, who allowed just one hit over seven innings, striking out 10.

That came a day after CC Sabathia allowed just one run in seven innings of work.

The Yankees have now won four out of the five matchups this year, outscoring their crosstown rivals 40-to-15, and holding them to just four hits over the first two games of this weekend's series at Citi Field.

The final game of the subway series kicks off Sunday at 8 p.m. with Chien Ming Wang taking on Livan Hernandez.
