Residents in Washington, D.C. are putting their mark on some tribute beams from the former World Trade Center this weekend.
People who are interested can sign the beams today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. outside the Newseum in Washington.
The event is similar to last year's signing in Manhattan.
Since 2007, the beams have traveled to 27 cities around the country.
They will be used in the construction of the National September 11th Memorial & Museum, which is expected to open on September 11, 2011.
