Disney teen queen and singer, Hilary Duff, premiered her latest movie, "Stay Cool", at the Tribeca Film Festival Wednesday night.

"I play Shasta O'Neil, who is a normal high school student who is graduating," explained Duff. "[Actor] Mark Polish and I meet because he is coming back to his hometown for the first time in a very long time and giving a speech to the school that he went to, which is the high school I'm graduating from, and I'm kind of just a major flirt and trying to get him to go to the prom with me and shock the rest of my school. So, it it is an interesting story."

Duff said she was thrilled to have her film play at Tribeca.

"It's exciting. I don't have any word to describe it," she said. "The first movie I was here with was 'War Inc.' To get to come back a second time is always exciting. It's one of those memories I'm always going to keep with me."

For Duff's co-star Mark Polish, the memories were particularly poignant.

"It just drudges up a lot of memories," he said. "Being a writer myself, and the character being a writer, you tend to keep memories a little bit fresher than a lot of people, because you use them as tools when you write, so it stings a little bit more."

Sean Astin, who also stars in the film, has come along way from his macho role in "Rudy."

"I'm a very subtle character who's name is Big Girl, bleach blond hair, different kind of head bands and flowy scarfs and robes and things," he said.

The distinguished Chevy Chase rounds out the cast as the school's principal.
