NY1 VIDEO: On October 29, 1992, tensions once again rose in Crown Heights after a man accused of stabbing a Hasidic Jew during the Crown Heights riots was acquitted of criminal charges. NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Following a separate trial, Nelson would be convicted of violating Rosenbaum's civil rights, though that verdict would later be overturned. Nelson was ultimately re-tried and convicted again, but because of time served he was released from prison a year later.
