NY1 VIDEO: On Oct. 11, 2006, a small plane crashed into an apartment building on the Upper East Side. It was being flown by Yankee Pitcher Cory Lidle and a flight instructor. NY1's Molly Kroon filed the following report that day.
NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Lidle's widow sued the airplane manufacturer, claiming the plane suffered a mechanical problem, but lost. The National Transportation Safety Board cited pilot error as the cause of the crash.
