NY1 VIDEO: The TWA terminal at JFK has long been hailed as a model of modernist architecture. But on Oct. 6, 2001, over the objections of preservationists, the terminal was shuttered. NY1's Gigi Stone filed the following report.
NY1 FOLLOW-UP: The terminal would be refurbished in 2010. Since then, the Port Authority has been considering turning it into a boutique hotel and conference center. The agency says it's currently in talks with a hotel operator, though no timetable is set for when the project might be completed.
