NY1 VIDEO: In the early '90s, when NY1 launched, the AIDS epidemic was reaching its peak in the city. NY1 looked at all angles of the AIDS crisis, from treatment options to efforts to stem the spread of the disease to the personal stories of those affected. One such story was a camp for families impacted by AIDS. Debbie Feyerick filed the following report in September of 1995.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Birch Camp continues today. It's now a part of One Heartland, a program that runs camps for underserviced communities.
