NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Josh Robin's August 21, 2008 coverage as Mayor Bloomberg suggested an end to term limits before denying he wanted another four years in office.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: As we now know, the City Council did vote in 2008 to allow three terms, giving Mayor Bloomberg a pass to run for his current term. But two years later, about three quarters of New Yorkers voted in a referendum to reverse that law. Currently, all elected officials in the city, including the mayor, may only serve for two, four-year terms.
