NY1 VIDEO: In May 2008, a crane collapsed at a building on the Upper East Side, killing two construction workers. The deadly incident came just two months after a different crane collapse on East 51st Street left seven people dead. Lori Bordonaro filed this report on May 29, 2008.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Last month, the crane's owner, James Lomma, was found not guilty of manslaughter in connection with the collapse. Prosecutors had claimed shoddy repairs caused the deadly accident and accused Lomma of cutting corners with safety measures to save money. Lomma's attorneys said the collapse was caused by operator error while the crane was being moved. Lomma is also the owner of the crane that collapsed in March 2008 that left seven people dead.
