NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 News revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Marcus Solis' April 23, 1996 coverage of Bernhard Goetz, the man dubbed the Subway Vigilante, as he appeared for the verdict in a civil trial brought forth by the most seriously injured of his victims.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Cabey's attorney, Ron Kuby, says his client has yet to receive any money because Goetz lives in poverty and has therefore been able to avoid making the payments. Goetz says the judgment against him has expired - a fact that Kuby does not dispute - but adds it can be renewed should Goetz's financial circumstances change.
