NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Jay Dow's August 31, 2001 coverage of the controversy surrounding Little League pitching phenom Danny Almonte, who was found to be 14 years old -- not 12 -- as was required to play in the Little League World Series.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Though Danny Almonte was banned from Little League play, he still found a way to pitch. He played as a student for Monroe High School in the Bronx, where he returned briefly as an assistant coach after college.
