NY1 VIDEO: In May of 2009, concerns about H1N1 - also known as swine flu - were sweeping the city. As we mark 20 years of New York 1, we take a look back at Molly Kroon's report on the outbreak from May 18, 2009.
NY1 FOLLOW-UP: According to an
April 2010 report, the H1N1 virus infected one million New Yorkers and caused nearly 100 deaths in a year's time. An
August 2010 report indicated that the World Health Organization declared the virus to be in a post-pandemic state.
