NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 News revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Dean Meminger's May 1, 2010 coverage of an attempted terror attack involving a car bomb that was rigged to explode in Times Square.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Faisal Shahzad -- a naturalized U.S. citizen living in Connecticut -- would be caught two days later after being yanked off a plane set to take off from JFK. He pleaded guilty to attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction among other charges and is serving a life sentence. While it was originally believed that Shahzad acted alone, the Attorney General later said there was evidence the Pakistani Taliban helped direct the plot.
