Next fall brings a dramatic line-up from designer Jenny Packham while designer Rachel Roy wants a more natural look. NY1's Jessica Abo filed the following report.

Roll out the red carpet and get ready to smoke your look for fall. Jenny Packham's latest collection packs a punch with deep red satin dresses, crystal-covered necklines and elegant evening gowns, all inspired by Hollywood's film noir from the 1940s.

"And the most inspiring part of it was the leading ladies who were real femme fatales, who were glamorous, enticing, dangerous," says Packham.

Whether you show off a cinched waist or something off the shoulder, these figure-fitting looks will leave your onlookers in the dust.

"I feel like a princess when I wear her clothes. It kind of takes me back to dress up when I was a little girl," says "Gossip Girl" actor Kaylee DeFer.

While Packham has a dark and dramatic collection, designer Rachel Roy has lots of earthy tones in store for modern-day women this fall.

"The starting point was a documentary called 'Women In The Dirt,' and it focuses on female landscape architects and how they take natural elements like moss, stone, dirt even, and create very strong linear lines in urban settings," says Roy.

When it came time to design these snoods, silhouettes and shoes, Roy says she made this collection for the busy woman who balances it all.

"If they're not going to a job, they're going to something in their life that they balance very passionately, and they need to get pulled together quickly," says Roy.

Her loyal following says these looks are just what they need to help them get dressed and run out the door.

"It's so, so beautiful and different and I love the shoes," says "The Help" actor Anna O'Reilly.

"It's just so fresh and really young. I mean this, the clothes fit beautifully," says "The Lying Game" actor Alexandra Chando.

"I love her use of textures and colors and how amazing they make me feel when I wear them," says "Smash" actor Megan Hilty.

So thanks to Roy now you've got the dirt on what will be hot when the temperature cools.
