City Students Learn Basics Of Cable TV Technology
Middle school students received some hands-on learning experience at the Time Warner Cable's offices at 23rd Street in Manhattan Tuesday as part of the Connect A Million Minds program.

The event, which focused on "Cracking The Codes In The Digital World," showed students from the Citizen Schools Program how Time Warner Cable technologies help deliver cable television to customers.

"Students, we find, often learn best by getting out there and doing rather than just by hearing about something. And this is a perfect opportunity working with Time Warner Cable today for the students to really get hands-on, see what science technology, engineering, and math is all about," said Citizens School New York Director Gail Sirota.

NY1 and its parent company Time Warner Cable continue to spotlight its efforts in science, technology, engineering and math education for Connect A Million Minds. For more information, visit connectamillionminds.com.
