After yet another court ruling, Brooklyn's Long Island College Hospital remains on life support.

A state Supreme Court judge has upheld a temporary restraining order stopping SUNY Downstate from closing the financially struggling hospital.

It's the latest in a long legal back and forth between SUNY, which runs LICH, and opponents of its planned closure.

SUNY officials argue the hospital is losing too much money and needs to be shut down.

Critics of the plan say losing the facility would have dangerous consequences for residents of Cobble Hill and several surrounding neighborhoods.

Under Downstate's original plan, LICH was to be emptied and shuttered by July 28.

About a dozen patients remain in the hospital.
