State officials will be able to test their luck on a plan for more New York casinos come Election Day after a judge on Wednesday dismissed a legal challenge that questioned language in the ballot item.
Brooklyn Lawyer Eric Snyder says it was written to promise jobs, lower taxes and school aid, but downplayed issues like gambling addiction and crime.
The judge said the lawsuit was filed too late and lacked legal merit.
Snyder is vowing to appeal.
Officials estimate the creation of seven new casinos could generate a billion dollars a year for the state.
