House Speaker John Boehner announced Saturday that talks with President Barack Obama to end the government shutdown have stalled.
Boehner told House Republicans Saturday morning that the president isn't negotiating.
He called on Republicans in the Senate to hold tough.
We're also learning that the Senate rejected a Democratic plan to extend the debt ceiling through next year.
The partial government shutdown is on its 12th day, and we're just five days away from hitting the so-called debt ceiling.
If Congress does not raise the limit by Thursday, the country will default on its payments for the first time.
