The city's Finance Commissioner is leaving office in order to replace the scandal plagued leader of a prominent non-profit.
David Frankel is becoming the CEO of the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty.
Frankel led the Department of Finance for four years.
The Met Council receives millions of dollars in taxpayer funding every year to run social services programs for about 100,000 New Yorkers.
The former head of the Council, William Rapfogel, was recently fired for financial misconduct, which has sparked a criminal investigation.
