Bradley Manning, the U.S. Army private charged with sending hundreds of thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks, was convicted of six espionage counts by a military judge Tuesday but acquitted of the most serious charge of aiding the enemy.

Manning, 25, was also found guilty of five theft charges, computer fraud and other infractions.

His sentencing hearing is set to begin Wednesday. He faces up to 128 years in prison.

Manning admitted to leaking the documents in 2010, but defense attorneys say he never intended for the material to be seen by the enemy and purposely selected material that he felt would not harm troops or national security.
