The City Council remembered one of its own Wednesday, as lawmakers held a moment of silence for slain councilman James Davis.

Tuesday marked 10 years since Davis was shot and killed by political rival Othneil Askew in the City Council chamber.

Askew was killed after the shooting by a plainclothes police officer.

Davis was a retired police officer who was elected to office in 2001, representing Brooklyn.
