City fire officials say their EMS dispatch system suffered several outages Monday, starting with a 30-minute blackout in the morning.

The computerized 911 system was down for a total of 90 minutes throughout the day, but a spokesperson for the FDNY says no calls were lost.

Officials say technical glitches required dispatchers to take information down with pen and paper.

The cause of the malfunction is still being investigated and officials say police and firefighting dispatch systems were not affected.

This is part of an ongoing series of issues related to the upgrade of the 911 system, which has sparked several investigations.
