City Councilman Leroy Comrie has ended his campaign for the Democratic nomination for Queens Borough President, citing personal matters.

Comrie, above center, says he is looking forward to serving the people of Queens in some capacity in the years to come.

Comrie had counted former Mayor David Dinkins among his supporters.

City Councilman Peter Vallone Jr., former City Councilwoman Melinda Katz and state Senator Tony Avella are now the remaining candidates in the Democratic Primary.

Tony Arcabashio is running as a Republican.
