One moment that stood out from Wednesday night's Republican debate on NY1 was the heated exchange between George McDonald and John Catsimatidis.

McDonald: You said something on the Curtis Sliwa show that I, George McDonald, was going to disappear. Was that a threat?
Catsimatidis: Please, George.

McDonald: The mafia thing, making me disappear. What is that? That's the way that the mayor of the city of New York talks about people?
Catsimatidis: I never said that.
McDonald: Oh yes you did.

NY1 tracked down the original interview on Curtis Sliwa's radio show.

Catsimatidis had been asked about the possibility of a Republican runoff, and seemed to suggest McDonald might be forced to drop out of the race before primary day.

"I believe we're going to get at least 40 percent because I think George McDonald really disappears," Catsimatidis said on the show. "I'm not sure he's going to have enough signatures to continue, or enough money."
