The City Council scored a victory against the Bloomberg administration Tuesday, as a federal judge threw out a lawsuit brought by the administration challenging the city's living wage law.

The law, which was approved by the City Council last year, requires developers who receive large city subsidies to pay their employees $10 an hour plus benefits.

In response to the decision, the administration said it expects the lawsuit to head to state court instead.
