House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday she does not want to comment on the New York City mayoral race, nor on candidate Anthony Weiner's leadership skills.
During a news conference in Washington, Pelosi ducked a question about her former colleague.
Asked how she would assess Weiner's leadership during his years in the House of Representatives, Pelosi answered, "I won't. I have enough to do here not to get involved in the mayor's race of New York. It's up to them to decide. Mayor's races are always very exciting."
Pelosi referred reporters to previous comments she had made about Weiner.
Two years ago, Pelosi called on him to resign during the height of his sexting scandal.
Weiner served in the House for more than 12 years.
