New Yorkers who want to enjoy Sunday brunch outdoors may soon be able to start doing so at 10 a.m.

The City Council passed a measure that would allow restaurants to legally start two hours earlier and not have to wait until noon.

The legislation still needs the mayor's approval.

Residents have complained that street-side dining clutters sidewalks during church hours.

City Councilman Dan Garodnick says the current rule is "a relic of the past" that's widely ignored and purposeless.
