Four mayoral candidates, Anthony Weiner, Erick Salgado, John Liu and Bill de Blasio, took part in a debate in Harlem Thursday night.
The debate was hosted by NY1's Dean Meminger.
"I think they spoke very well," said Grace L. Jones, who attended the forum. "They came right to the point."
"I wanted to see what are they going to do for lower-income families or just other income families," said Joel Benjamin, who attended the debate.
"They would try their best to fix the school system, John Liu brought up the tax structure, stop-and-frisk policy," said Shirley Phipps, who attended the debate. "So I think it was a very good debate, healthy debate."
The debate was organized by the Grand Council of Guardians, a collection of African-American law enforcement fraternal groups.
