Governor Andrew Cuomo is looking to spark some serious growth in electric car-charging stations across the state.

He's ordering a review of current policies in support of his goal to have 3,000 public and workplace stations in place by 2018.

The network would support 40,000 plug-in vehicles.

The review will examine who should manage the charging stations and price rates, and whether the electric grid needs to be modified to support the expanding fleet of electric and hybrid vehicles.
